You must believe me that doing life and death problems (tsumego) will help you a lot in your progress in Go. Do not neglect it.
Before we move on to the next lesson on some fundamentals of the Opening, here are five tsumego problems for you to solve. For all of them, it is Black’s turn to play and Black is to live. Look at them for a while and think it through in your mind. Try to visualise it in your mind and think…. (if Black plays here, White plays here, then Black plays here then White will answer there…. oh but what if White answers here instead? etc…)
